One of the fun things about appearing in the paper is the context. I never know what else is going to be in the paper. Yesterday's New Year's comic appeared in the same section with quite a few other comics about New Year's.
I was particularly delighted to see that in the "Mutts" strip, Mooch the Cat was wearing the same hat and tooting on the same noisemaker as my character! And the noisemaker's noise was "Blat!"
