Steve, Thanks! All I can say is thank goodness for cartoon visual shorthand. The work that our predecessors have done establishing comics vocabulary benefits me every day. The curl on the baby's head is one of my favorites. And, of course the teardrops / sweat drops, depending on the context, are very useful. And fun.

Great one, David! It is somewhat frightening how a camera can turn you into a passive observer of any moment. It is hilarious that the baby looks basically indistinguishable from your adults other than the diapers and curl. I wonder what the origin of one hair curled on the top of the head = baby is? I love that sort of nonsensical but effective cartoon shorthand.
