Steve,
I had Lynch's comments in mind when I did the comic.
In my memory, Lynch mentioned "Lawrence of Arabia" specifically. But after rewatching the clip, I note that he doesn't name any movie. I guess he's talking about all movies.
I must have gotten that "Lawrence of Arabia" idea from somewhere. Hmm.
